Safeguarding
Safeguarding at Parity Education
Safeguarding is at the heart of how we deliver alternative provision. We work with children and young people who may have complex SEND, SEMH, attendance or other additional needs, and our safeguarding arrangements are designed around the individual nature of 1:1 and small-scale provision delivered across home, community and education settings.
Our safeguarding approach
Trusted professionals
Tutors and staff are recruited through safer recruitment processes, including identity, right-to-work, reference and appropriate DBS and barred-list checks. Safeguarding expectations form part of induction, training and ongoing oversight.
Safe provision
Safeguarding and suitability are considered before provision begins. This includes the learner's individual needs, delivery setting, staffing arrangements and known risks. Attendance and engagement are recorded for every planned session, with concerns and patterns of non-engagement identified and escalated.
Clear action
Tutors are expected to report safeguarding concerns promptly. Concerns are recorded, reviewed by our safeguarding leads and escalated to children's social care, the LADO, police, commissioners or other relevant agencies where appropriate.
Report a safeguarding concern
If you have a safeguarding concern relating to a child or young person receiving provision from Parity Education, please contact our safeguarding team.
